Squadron Burgee Heraldry: The dove on the burgee is the Dove of Peace and represents the Peace River for which the squadron was named. At some point in the past, the dove has been simplified in its appearance. The central red, white and blue colors are taken from the United States of America and the United States Power Squadrons ensigns. The gold border proclaims that the Peace River Sail and Power Squadron has celebrated its 50th year anniversary of boating and community service.
